Release Notes
A half ounce of every single bottle we cracked at the bar went into this procedural blend of over a hundred whiskies from around the world including many single malts and bourbons. A devilish mix!

3rd Party Tasting Notes
Don't you know there ain't no devil, there's just god when he is drunk? This is the glittering sweat collected by lesser demons as it fell from the brow of a drunken deity dancing blissfully in the swirling smoke above a monstrous burning peat bog stretching far beyond the visible horizon.

Nose: pretty weak
Palate: nice peaty taste
Finish: smoky and spicy
Balance: tastes better than it smells, good finish
Andrew Hutchings
Nose: candy and A'bunadh and perfume
Palate: complicated wonders
Finish: perfection and smoke
Balance: well done!
Andrew Pilgrim
Nose: sweet, faint citrus, pretty benign
Palate: a bit peppery, faint smokiness, leather, now cherry? Elusive...
Finish: pretty long, center-tongued, smoke on the back of the throat
Balance: surprisingly balanced for what it is
David Drell
Nose: all over the place but not in a bad way
Palate: ahh, some teeth but maybe not
Finish: falls flat
Balance: it is a crazy blend but the smoky element makes it work
Greg Wuller
Nose: medicine
Jason McDade
Nose: nice but vague
Palate: kind of an Islay influenced Speyside Bourbon. Rather nice.
Finish: a rough note at the end - new make
Balance: a toast to a wonderful year
Jim Leuper
Nose: not a lot going on. I can't really pick anything specific. A little smoke on the hand.
Palate: subtle burn up front, again, can't pick out anything specific but not bad. A tiny bit bitter, but dig that
Finish: not powerful, but it lingers. Still a bit bitter. A bit of smoke/peat
Balance: nose to finish really not bad for a year's blend of scotch
Joe Giddings
Nose: vaguely herbal, some smoke, deep breath reveals peat, loads of wood on skin
Palate: wow. Solid, big, peaty.
Finish: some odd notes punching through in mouth but good (?)
Balance: much better than 2013, a wee but uneven
Kolja Erman
Finish: incredibly smoky
Shane Lindley
Nose: not a lot of strong flavours, it seems complex but subdued, hard to find any individual notes
Palate: complicated, although each note seems to be slightly beheaded, oily, with a bit of smoke, good orange zing
Finish: lasts well enough, flavours hang around but taper off and flatten out a touch
Balance: pretty good all around but missing the warmth in the chest
Stuart Campbell
Nose: sweet, nice, not overwhelming, honey vanilla
Palate: nice, sharp, tangy, peat, vanilla
Finish: long, easy, clean
Balance: (?) fills young - fizzy?-ish
