Nose: sherry, honey, tobacco
Taste: tobacco, apricot, grass, dry
Finish: smooth, lovely, long
Balance: Like a libra!
Nose: sherry and peat, mild antiseptic, easily ignored
Taste: smooth like a baby's bottom. Taffy and dark caramel, rich and complicated. Lovely
Finish: drops off a bit, I wish it lasted longer
Balance: a bit of water brings out the flavors - all, both wonderful and not-so-good
Nose: strong sherry notes, good overall profile
Taste: interesting and unexpected sweetness with hints of caramel
Finish: very comfortable, smooth finish
Nose: smells of steak, worcestershire and old leather, plus a small amount of that gluey smell I don't much like, but the steakhouse thing is good
Taste: sweet and tangy, not much smoke, a bit of maple syrup and cherry
Finish: fades from the tongue pretty quickly, but leaves a pleasant sweetness in the throat
Balance: kind of a rollercoaster, one step didn't lead to an obvious next.
Nose: port up front, caramel hints behind
Taste: sweet, strong and lovely. A plethora of roasted flavors, all lovely
Finish: long, pepper, but a letdown
Balance: wowzers, he explained
Nose: oaky
Taste: molasses, smoke
Finish: very smooth
Balance: little "chemical" on the front end.
Nose: earthy
Taste: wonderful - caramel, vanilla
Finish: slow burn
Balance: overall a wonderful dram
Nose: little smokey with a hit of fresh cut wood
Taste: strong alcohol burn with sweet and smokey aftertaste
Finish: little bit of short finish, it sits at back of tongue for a while
Balance: it's a ok whisky, it has too strong of alcohol taste.
nL sherry, almost minty but not menthol-like, dark orange hints, with water: sweeter, pinesol
Taste: bang! wow! a little tight yet kinda brutal! with water: chocolate starts coming out
Finish: warm, deep, rich and long
Balance: beautiful!
Nose: corn, mayo, sweet, sour, like milk gone bad but in a seriously good way. I find it so intriguing
Taste: sour mash but fairly smooth, peppery, like a tingle in my mouth... yeah...
Finish: really holds on the back of the tongue
Balance: I like it. I just do. It makes me think.
Taste: add 3 drops - perfection
Nose: caramel, sweet, cherry
Taste: syrupy sweetness, a bit of heat with a soft peat
Finish: smoother finish than start - get more of the alcohol at the beginning than finish
Balance: nice balance with a heavy dose of the sherry cask.
Nose: strong on the alcohol masking a lot, a little water helps
Taste: nice tangy, sherried flavor
Finish: nice good burn at back then dips of leaving that nice chocolate flavor
Balance: seems to come together nicely although nose lets it down a touch
Nose: molasses, coffee, cough syrup, nice!
Taste: molasses and cola, packs a punch - peppery
Finish: very exciting, but not for everyday, powerful stuff
Balance: dark chocolatey!
